Dubai-based Timelinks, an environmental design company, is to unveil their vision of a ‘city of the future’ at the upcoming Cityscape Dubai. The city – called the Ziggurat project – will be in the shape of a futuristic pyramid which, according to Timelinks, could support an entire community of up to one million people by harnessing the power of nature. In addition to that, the company plans to ‘green’ the surrounding areas for a more natural living.

Weblin is a new way to interact in the world of web 2.0. After registration you create a small 2D avatar which travels with you as you surf the web. The avatars can look like real people, fantasy figures and much more and show up at the bottom of the browser’s screen, where you can start chatting and interacting with other visitors on the same page (if they have weblin).

The creators of weblin are based in Germany, however, the website and the controls are available in multiple languages – including chat room localization.
As weblin is still in beta, the service is only available to Windows users, but there is a weblin.lite version for the rest of us.

Comedian Bernie Mac died this morning in Chicago at the Age of 50.

Bernie Mac, the popular Hollywood actor known from various comedies and blockbusters, such as Oceans 11, 12 and 13, and many more, passed away as he suffered from pneumonia.

Mac, whose real name is Bernard McCullough, passed away early this morning at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was 50 years old.

His rep just issued the following statement to TMZ: “Actor/ comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital. No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy continues to be respected.”

Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, 71, reportedly was seriously injured in a car accident in Mississippi. Local Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams said, that Freeman was driving a ‘97 Nissan Maxima when the car left a rural highway and flipped several times just before midnight Sunday.

Williams further reported, that neither Freeman, nor the other passenger and owner of the car were under influence of alcohol and were wearing seat belts. Freeman was conscious when rescued and was brought to the hospital by a helicopter.

Yesterday, People Magazine published a 19-page photo spread, showing Brangelina cuddling with their twins. The pair, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, grace the cover of People Magazine, which reportedly paid $14 million for the exclusive family album.

Knox Léon weighed just over 5 pounds, and Vivienne Marcheline weighed exactly 5 pounds.
