This year, Audi will finally release the top-end version of the beautiful A5. The S5, which was released last year, sports a V8 engine with 334 hp, dynamic dampers, Audi Drive Select and many other new features. Now, the RS5 will most probably be equipped with a V8 engine that produces some 450 hp, and the new, modified Audi S-Tronic which now includes a double-clutch transmission.

Audi break their long tradition of turbo-charged S and RS models with their new 2009 Audi S4. For the first time ever with civil Audis, a supercharger will be built onto the V6 FSI of the new sports car. The last two versions of the S4 featured a V8 FSI with 343 horses pulled from capacity, so there is a question mark on why the manufacturer of the most popular family sports cars downgraded to the new supercharged V6 FSI with only 333 horses.

After ABT unveiled its customized Audi RS6 Avant with 700 hp and 590 ft lbs of torque, its main rival, B&B unveiled its new tuning kit for the strongest civil Audi ever. The new program from B&B has 4 versions of boost for the V10 TFSI engine, developing 650, 670, 700 and 715 hp. With the 4th level installed, the car can hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, with 0.3 seconds faster than the ABT RS6 Avant, and has a top speed of 321 km/h (200 mph). Also, a new a new suspension kit was added in order to obtain a better stability. No words about the price yet.

This Audi R8 Super Bowl Commercial recalls the Godfather movie when it shows a rich man awaking in his bed to find himself covered in oil and grease (rather than blood), with his old car bumper and grill at the foot of the bed under the covers (instead of a horse head). “Old luxury has been put on notice” Camera pans out to see the mansion front with the new Audi R8 luxury sports car revving its engine to leave the scene of the crime.
