Richard | June 23, 2009

BENM.at

Did you wait for the iPhone OS 3.0 update just because you wanted to hook up your iPhone to your Mac or PC and tether along the way? Did you go through the nasty process of updating just to find out that tethering was disabled with your carrier? Well, here you go:

help.BENM.at Screenshot

Richard Lai explains on his blog, how easy it is to install MobileConfig-files on your iPhone for (maybe) all worldwide carriers. It’s 1-2-3, tethering enabled! Just visit http://help.benm.at/ directly from your iPhone and you are good to go. It works great; I’m writing this being connected via bluetooth. Thank you, Richard Lai!

Audiko | Ringtones Galore

Richard | April 2, 2009

audiko

audiko logo

Audiko is a simple service which helps you to make a ringtone of your favorite songs! Simply search for a song – pretty much any song – and chose your format (mp3, m4r, amr). Voilà, your new ringtone is ready for downloading. You can even upload your own songs, cut and crop them online and instantly download them to your computer.

The best part is, that you can drop a link or a YouTube-URL and audiko rips the song from the links destination. It is the easiest way to create, edit and crop ringtones for your mobile phone. And yes, iPhone users are more than welcome!

Thank you, Mr. Mansio

iPhone August 2009 VS iPhone 4G Concept

Richard | February 15, 2009

New iPhone Coming in August?

Mac Rumors posted images recently, claiming to depict the back cover of an upcoming iPhone. iPodObserver first posted a version of the above photo that allegedly depicts an unreleased 16GB iPhone with the model number A1303. This new iPhone case is said to “shed its glossy appearance for a matte black look” and also introduce a new case-back made of metal.

The site seems confident in the photo and reminded readers that they were also responsible for publishing an early back-case photo of the iPhone 3G. MacRumors has also received additional images that appear to be from the same series.

If this forecast will turn out as true, this magnificent concept of an iChat iPhone by Rodolphe Desmare will just remain a dream:

Richard | February 6, 2009

iPhone 4G Concept Specs by Jim Young

This concept looks extremely slick! Taking Apple’s design evolution from the latest MacBook’s and MacBook Pro’s, this design would be the next logical step. Pack the Mac into the iPhone and shake, voila! Click the image for a large version.

iHologram – iPhone App Illusion

Richard | August 26, 2008

Here’s an iPhone App that made the cut – the iHologram. It works with both the iPod touch and iPhone, offering animations that seem to leap off the display in the manner 3D holograms would. According to designer David O’Reilly, “The application works by assuming a constant viewing angle (35-45 degrees), typical for when the device is placed on a tabletop. The 3D scene’s perspective is warped using anamorphosis, the same technique used in Hans Holbein’s painting The Ambassadors. This application does the exact same but updates dynamically.” The project is still just conceptual, but the designer plans on releasing a real app as soon as he finds a capable programmer. Good luck!
